Angela M. Davey
Angela M. Davey Feb. 10, 1942 - Sept. 4, 2020 Angela Mary Davey, beloved wife of Don Davey, passed away peacefully at Providence Medical Center Friday, Sept. 4, 2020 at age 78. Born in the Bronx, New York to Angela and Salvatore "Sal" Cosentino, Angela graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School then started a brief career as an executive secretary. Wanting a more fulfilling career, Angela found work at New York Foundling Hospital caring for newborn babies. Angela married her high school sweetheart, Don in 1963, and moved to Portland, Ore., loving its relaxed pace. Angela enjoyed raising her two children in the Laurelhurst neighborhood and was an active member of All Saints Parish. Graduating from Portland State, Angela worked as part-time faculty for Portland Community College (former) "Steps to Success" program. Angela was passionately involved in many support groups making lasting connections. A fierce and skilled lover of thrifting and estate sales, yoga, gardening, reading, Scrabble and long walks, Angela, most importantly, loved helping everyone she encountered — whether they needed health, nutrition, or emotional support. Angela will be missed and treasured always. Angela was preceded in death by her parents, Angela and Sal Cosentino; son, Christopher; sister, Sally and brother-in-law, Douglas. Angela is survived by her husband of 57 years, Don; daughter, Carolyn Schweitzer (John); grandchildren, William and George; sisters, Carmen (Len), Anne (George); brother-in-law, Andy and sister-in-law, Eileen, member of the Holy Union Sisters.
