In memory of
Cynthia Branham
Branham, Cynthia Saline, MI Age 69, died Tuesday, September 8th, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 4, 1951 in Ypsilanti, MI to John and Irene Truhn and raised in Ypsilanti. She attended historic Roosevelt High School as a member of the final graduating class in 1969. She met Ken on a dare and married him in 1973. They had Jason and Stephanie shortly after, and from that moment on her world revolved around her kids. Being a mom, and later a grandma, was the greatest joy of her life. Cindy worked as a hairdresser alongside her mother Irene at the family business Revlon Salon in Ypsilanti. Cindy was truly the "hostess with the mostess." She threw all the best parties, hosted family holidays, and always went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt special, had a great time, and was overfed. Her gift-giving abilities and generosity were as legendary as her brownies, her Chex mix, her Christmas sugar cookies, and her Thanksgiving dinners. Cindy took Christmas to a whole other level. She loved her trips to the casino, especially going to Las Vegas several times a year, playing video poker and "chasing a royal." She made many happy memories with her family and friends at their cottage on Higgins Lake and the Truhn family cottage in Lewiston. She loved babies and kids and was affectionately known as the "baby stealer" as she would wander off with anyone's baby who would let her for hours. Cindy was the backbone of her family, dear friend to many, and will be missed more than words (and empty stomachs) can express. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Ken, son Jason (Dawn) Branham, daughter Stephanie (Ryan) Bachli, grandchildren Henry and Eli Bachli and Zander Davis, brothers Mark (Bonnie) Truhn, Mike (Debbie) Truhn and Brad Truhn, nieces and nephews Andrew (Rachel) Truhn, John Truhn, Jake Truhn, Tori (John) Doran, and Sarah Truhn, as well as her lifelong best friends Nancy (Jim) Brakke, Mickie (John) Brakke and godson Aaron Brakke. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Irene, sister Debbie, and brother Johnny. Visitation will be held at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home in Milan, MI on Sunday, September 13th from 2pm to 6pm where funeral services will be held on Monday, September 14th at 12pm. Burial will follow at Arborcrest Memorial Park in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Contributions may be made to The Chad Tough Foundation at Https://www.chadtough.org/donate/ Ochalek-Stark Funeral Service
