Christopher E Anderson
Christopher E. Anderson of Fort Bragg, died unexpectedly at his home on August 18, 2020 of non-COVID related, natural causes. Born November 18, 1968 at Patrick AFB, FL to Stanley and Bette Anderson, he was 51. A former abalone diver, he served for many years on the Abalone Cook-Off Committee of the Mendocino Area Parks Association for their annual Abalone Cook-Off fund raiser, chairing the committee 2012-2014. As a volunteer with the Marine Mammal Center Fort Bragg Operations since 2010, Chris was a valued member of teams rescuing dozens of ill, injured or stranded marine mammals along the Mendocino Coast over the years. Chris is survived by his daughters, Kyrsten Anderson of Hayfork, CA and Elizabeth Anderson of Fort Bragg, his good friend and ex-wife, Julia Anderson and his parents, Bette and Stan Anderson of Fort Bragg; his brothers, Steven (Angela) Anderson of Salida, CA, and Keith (Janet) Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO, his sister Amy (Rick) Pugel of Grass Valley, CA; twelve nieces and nephews and his beloved dog and constant companion, Bella, and kitty Monkey. Donations in Chris' memory may be made to Fort Bragg Meals on Wheels, Trinity Lutheran Church Fort Bragg, the Marine Mammal Center, or to a charity of your choice.
