Lupe ( Florez) Day March 28, 1938 - Sept. 6,2020 OKLAHOMA CITY Lupe (Florez) Day, born March 28, 1938, in South OKC, the oldest of nine children, to Juan "Johnny" Florez and Olivia S. (Moreno), passed through this life to her next one on Sept. 6, 2020, at her home on the south side of OKC with six of her seven children and a grandson nearby. Lupe married on April 24, 1954, in Moore OK to Jackie "Jack" Day Jr. (b: Sept. 26, 1938, Tulsa). Together, they had and raised seven children beginning in Feb. 1955 and ending in Dec, 1964, all born and raised in OKC, and they celebrated 64 wedding anniversaries together. Preceding Lupe to their next life were her parents; her daughter, Linda; her daughter-in-law, Susan; her brothers, "Ponchie" and "Gibby"; sisters, "Bebal" and Maggie; grandchildren, Bradley and Geanie; nieces, LaDonna, Savina, and Yvette; nephews, Johnny Florez III and Paul Day JR; and great-niece, "Tia" Marris. She is survived by six children, all of OKC, Jack Jr. (Jill), Monica, Roberta, Johnny, Leo, and Angela; brothers, Manuel (Shirley), Albert (Sharon), and Pete (Jerri), of OKC; sister, Delores "Lollie" (Vernon), of Tulsa; 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, Kainen; and 24 nieces and nephews. Mom has certainly left a lasting mark in this world for many years to come. She worked hard while she was with us; Mom, we hope you can rest in peace. We know you are watching, you always have. Your family and friends wish you to rest now, and say hi to the others waiting for you. Bye Mom, We love you.
