Eileen B. O'Brien A native of Charlestown, County Mayo, entered into eternal life on Friday September 4th, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She immigrated to Philadelphia, PA in 1955; Married Hubert F. O'Brien in June 1964 and moved to NY splitting time between Yonkers & The Bronx. She worked for Scott Paper & later the NY City Board of Education for over 25 years. She provided a welcome home away from home to many relatives & friends who journeyed to NY City for more than 50 years. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Hugh, Her Sister Margaret Finlon & Brothers Jim, Patrick & Brendan McIntyre & her beloved Sister in law Margaret O'Brien.(4) Children Kevin (Laura nee McLaughlin), Maureen, Hugh (Tara nee Tully) & Erin (David Bergerson), as well as 13 Grandchildren Megan, Ellie, Peter, Aidan, Bridget, Timmy, Brett, Maeve, Kyle, Katharine, Liam, Hugh & Eileen. Due to COVID-19 restrictions Funeral Services are private; In Lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made in the name of Eileen B. O'Brien to the Emerald Isle Immigration Center.
