In memory of
Asa LaRue Francis
Francis, Asa LaRue age 60, threw his last earthly pass and rounded the bases for home on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Son of Asa and Eileen Francis, he leaves behind his wife, Marcia; step-sons Jason and Bobby; and his crowning achievement, apple of his eye, daughter, Kayla. Asa is also survived by his sisters Eileen "Teet" (Dave) Rios, Kelly (Jerry) McHugh; brothers Michael (Teresa) Francis and John Francis; sisters-in-law Judy (Ron) Overbeek, and Darlene Allen; brother-in-law, Gary (Kathy) Stowie; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Jim (Gina) Vaness and Pat Stanton. He was preceded in death by his parents and oldest brother, Danny. Asa enjoyed a good meal, bad jokes, 70s rock, a round of golf, and all things sports. He was a troubled spirit but his pain stopped, mental and physically, on a beautiful sunny Saturday. For that, we are all thankful. A Celebration of Asa's Life will take place at Lamar Park, 2561 Porter St. SW, Wyoming, MI, on Monday, August 17, 2020 from 6-8pm. In honor of Asa and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Santa Claus Girls. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcares.com .
