Schultz, Joyce Louise Ypsilanti, Michigan Age 88, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 6, 2020 at her home with her loving husband Raymond at her side. She was born January 19, 1932, the daughter of Earl J. and Eleanor B. (Trowbridge) Buchner. She grew up in the village of Cherry Hill until she married Raymond Schultz March 24, 1956. Joyce was very active in sandlot softball, living across the street from the ball park. She attended K-8 at Cherry Hill School and then grades 9-12 at Ypsilanti High School, graduating in 1949. She never missed one class there in four years. She then attended one semester at E.M.U. before taking a job at Burroughs Adding Machine in Plymouth for seven years, where she never missed a day of work. After getting married in 1956, she became mother to Laurie Kay in 1957, David Raymond in 1958 and Dean Edward in 1962. Joyce was very active in owning and operating the Ray Schultz Farm (dba) as manager, accountant and worker. Joyce and Raymond traveled most of the states, Europe, South America, New Zealand, Australia and China. They spent 64 loving years together. Joyce was dearly loved by her children and grandchildren and will be missed. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one sister Joan (Waymon) Henson. A private funeral service for family only will be 11 am Monday, August 10, 2020 at Lincoln Community United Methodist Church, 9074 Whittaker Road, Ypsilanti with Pastor Chris Budson officiating. Cremation will follow. Contributions in Joyce's honor may be made to either Lincoln Community United Methodist Church of St. Joseph Mercy Hospice.
