Tony Michael Lamb
Tony Michael Lamb Aug. 19, 1984 - July 30, 2020 Tony Lamb died July 30, 2020. Tony was born in Knoxville, Tenn., to Michela Lewis. He graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Community Deve- lopment in 2015 and a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning in 2018. Tony was an active part of the Black community. He set the mold for being a racial equity planner at the City of Portland, undoing institutional racism within the City and working with BIPOC communities to deepen their roots and fight for racial and economic justice. His work leaves a lasting legacy for activists and planners to proudly carry on. Tony loved living in Oregon. He enjoyed exploring the Cascades while backpacking and trail running. Tony is is survived by his wife, Bethany; his mother, Michela Lewis; sisters, Tashia Johnson, Lindsey Johnson (Lamb), and Megan Lamb. A candlelight vigil was held in Tony's honor at Portland's Peninsula Park, Aug. 1, 2020. Services remembering Tony will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020 at McGill Click Chapel in Loudon, Tenn.
