BASKIN, Peggy Lee Peggy Lee Baskin passed away on July 24, 2020. She was born on July 10, 1931, in Navasota, Texas to Maurice and Maurine Lee. Peggy graduated from Sunset High School, in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, and attended the University of Texas. A vibrant and loving person throughout her life, she was happily married for 61 years to James E. "Gene" Baskin. Peggy won innumerable hands of bridge, baked delicious pies that friends and fellow church members coveted, painted landscapes, cross-stitched Christmas stockings for grandkids, sang alto in the choir, wrote letters to friends old and new, and played a mean game of tennis in her younger days. Many people loved Peggy. She was predeceased by husband Gene, brothers Pat Lee and Lawrence Lee, and daughter Kathleen Baskin-Ball. She is survived by daughter Dianne Baskin (Joe Rozell), son Richard (Laura), daughter Julie Chastain (Brian), son-in-law Bill Ball, Jr., 14 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the North Texas Food Bank, which can be made online or sent to 3677 Mapleshade Lane, Plano Texas, 75075.
