David Peter Murphy, 63, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020. David was born on February 13, 1957 in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Albert and Catherine (Walsh) Murphy. David was a devoted father who dedicated his life and showed unconditional love for his daughter, Brittany Murphy Foley. He was a loving brother to Daniel Murphy, Wayne Murphy, Barbara Kowal, Robert Murphy, Nancy Murphy, Karen Luna, the late Kevin Murphy and Marnie Moore. David was survived by thirteen nieces and nephews. It is still unknown if David and his twin brother, Daniel, were Siamese twins because they spent so much time together. He was known for his selflessness, sense of humor, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He will forever be missed by his family and friends including Thomas Foley, Carol Cierpial and Mary Ann Lefemine. An hour of visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6th, 2020 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Beers & Story Funeral Home in South Hadley followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Rose De Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street in Chicopee, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in David's name may be made to Thomas J.
