Josephine B. Piro EASTON Josephine B. Piro, 86, formerly of Easton, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020, in ManorCare, Palmer Township. Born Dec. 31, 1933, in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Maybel (Dicker) Devereaux. Her husband of 43 years, Anthony J. Piro, passed away Nov. 7, 2005. Josephine graduated from Phillipsburg High School Class of 1955. She enjoyed cooking and won many cooking contests. Josephine was a member of Sts. Philip & James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg. Surviving is a son, Christopher Piro of Pittsburgh; nieces and nephews, Janie Buenzly, Joe Lilly, Peter Devereaux and Mary Ann Kootsares. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, John Devereaux and four sisters, Mary Ellen Bergenback, Maybelle Lilly, Ann Fisher and Jane Devereaux. Private interment will be held in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough. Offer online condolences at strunkfh.com .
