ABINGDON – Darlene E. (Otto) Wulf, 77, of Abingdon, formerly of Durant, Iowa, died July 29, 2020, at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel. Additional visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, at Bentley Funeral Home in Durant. Memorials may be made to the Willing Workers 4-H Club. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, at Bentley Funeral Home in Durant. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, seating will be limited and social distancing limitations and face masks are suggested at all services. Darlene was born in Davenport, Iowa, on Sept. 17, 1942, daughter of Allen and Gertrude (Bangert) Otto. Darlene married Marvin R. Wulf on Feb. 22, 1969, in Davenport. Together, they moved to Abingdon in 1983. Darlene was a homemaker who worked on the family dairy farm alongside her husband. She loved animals, especially her dogs. She has had a large impact on others, as she was a 4-H leader for over 25 years. She enjoyed the small things, including cooking, baking, sewing, gardening and other crafts. She loved polka-dancing and going to fairs with her loved ones. She cherished attending her grandchildren's concerts and grandparents' days. Darlene will be dearly missed by her husband, Marvin; daughters Charlene (Mike) Lannholm of Galesburg, Marlene (Mark) Watt of Abingdon, Eileen (Steve) Tjaden of Trivoli and Jolene (Joe) Faler of Prairie City; and her son, Eugene (Lindsay) Wulf of Abingdon. Also surviving are her sisters, Phyllis (Arlo) Krebs of Durant and Bernice Koberg of Walcott, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
