Thomas Patrick Kelly March 5, 1969 - July 25, 2020 Tommy Kelly (51) passed away July 25, 2020, from a pulmonary embolism. He had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, however his death at this time was unexpected. Tommy was born in Seattle and graduated from Sorenson School in Woodinville, Wash. His career at Safeway began at the Redmond, Wash., store. His manager said he wished all of his employees worked as hard as Tommy! In 2003, he continued with Safeway in Portland, spending most of his time at the Woodstock store. He retired in January 2019. Tommy loved his job at Safeway and was famous for his happy smile. He spent 28 ½ years at Safeway and was an inspiration to both co-workers and customers during that time. Tommy loved his dogs and was a huge New Kids on the Block fan. He attended three NKOTB concerts and actually got to meet Jonathan Knight, a real thrill for him! Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Tom Kelly. He is survived by his mother, Mary Kelly-Wolfe; his dad, Pat Wolfe; his sister, Kappy (Kelly) Hodges; brother-in-law, Tim Hodges; and nephew, Baker Hodges. Due to the pandemic, no funeral will be held at this time.
