Arthur Beauvais Sr.
Arthur, 88, passed away at home in Monson, Ma on July 17, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born in Hartford, CT, on September 6, 1931 to John E and Aretha (Royce) Beauvais. After graduating from trade school, he enlisted in the Army in 1948. He served during the Korean Conflict and completed his service in 1954 as a Corporal. Art was employed by Carolina Freight Carriers. After retiring, worked for American Pest Control for several years. He and his wife Janet, lived in Florida for many years, where he served his community as President of the Board of Directors. He enjoyed painting, kayaking, gardening, cooking, and was an avid Round and Square dancer. He was predeceased by his parents, his son Arthur Jr. and wife Glo, son Joseph, sisters Dottie Gelzinis and Gerry Wall, and a brother John. He leaves his wife of forty years, Janet (Morgan) Beauvais, a brother Louis Beauvais, a sister Pauline Covey, daughter Annette Cooley, a son William Carabetta and his wife Audrey, a daughter Janet Carabetta and partner Richard Witek, granddaughters Jessie, Adrianna, and Addison Carabetta, granddaughter Sarah Alexander, daughter-in-law Barbara Beauvais, grandsons Jeremiah, Benjamin, Marcel and wife Karri, great grandsons, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be private at the Veteran’s Cemetery at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arthur’s name to: Shriner’s Hospital for Children 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
