Carolyn A. Couture
Carolyn Aurora Couture, age 58, passed away at home surrounded by the care and comfort of her family on April 26, 2020. She was born in Springfield on August 16, 1961 to Joseph and Gilberte (MacClure) Allard. She was a graduate of the Commerce high school and received and Associates degree from STCC. Carolyn was the chief operating officer of the Greater Springfield Credit Union and was with them for 41 years. She was known to her family and friends as the “game planner”. Every event had to have games. She was a caring, loving person who always put others needs before her own. Carolyn also served as a girl scout pack leader for many years. She was loved greatly and will be missed by many. Carolyn leaves behind her husband Robert; two loving daughters, Aura Geoffroy and husband Jonathan and Laura Delisle and husband Kenneth both of Springfield, two brothers, Ronald Allard and his wife Patricia Wanat-Allard of Springfield and Kenneth Allard and his husband Ross of Chicopee, two sister in laws, Deborah and Marie Allard, and two grandchildren, Joseph Delisle and Jillian Geoffroy. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 10 a.m. at St Thomas Church 47 Pine St. West Springfield, MA with burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Springfield. Visiting hours will be held on Monday August 10, 2020 from 4-7pm at Sampsons Chapel of the Acres at 21 Tinkham Rd Springfield, MA. Donations may be made in Carolyn’s name to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at 450 Brookline Ave. Boston MA 02215.
