Rutz, Arlene 12/10/1933 - 7/29/2020 Ann Arbor Arlene Adele Rutz, nee Archer 86, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 29,2020, in Ann Arbor,MI . She was born in 1933 in Detroit to Selwyn and Grace Archer. She raised her two daughters, Robin and Renee (Charles Brown) in Warren,MI and moved to Ann Arbor to be closer to her grandchildren, Emily Emberling (Ramsey), Katie Silver (McKee), and Anya Rutz. She is also survived by two great grandchildren. She had a deep love and fondness for her three nieces and four nephews, and brother-in-law, Richard, from the Mette family.She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Robert W. Rutz, her sister Dorothy Mette, and brother Arthur Archer. She wanted those close to her to strive for their potential and supported that. Most of what she did had others well being in mind. She had strength and determination in meeting obstacles, had faith in hard work and honest effort, and a steadfast commitment to family. She will be remembered for her fun-loving and authentic heart. A memorial is being planned for Sunday August 2 at 11 am EDT on Zoom.
