ATLANTA, GA- It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Archie A. Sellars, who transitioned on July 26, 2020 at the age of 71. He was the son of the late Eugene Sellars and Sadie Graves Sellars Rogers. He was married to Delores Edwards Sellars who survives. Archie loved to fish, travel and plant flowers. He enjoyed spending time with his family and could be found at all the family gatherings. He was an usher of Enon Baptist in Atlanta. He was a part of the men's fellowship as long as his health permitted. He also sung in the church choir. He served in the United States Army. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife: Delores Edwards Sellars of the home, Archie Dustin Sellars of Atlanta and Christopher Lamarr Ready also of Atlanta; two daughters: Tangy Sellars-Eason (Andrew) of Connecticut and Tamek Sellars of New York City; two brothers: Walter "Jack" Sellars (Jane) of Greensboro and Curtis Sellars (Jeanette) of Mebane; three sisters: Joylyn Sellars Daniels (Bobby) of Jamestown, NC, Shelby Jean Wilkerson and Betty Ann Wilkerson (Clarence) both of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Ulias Cornell Rogers and a brother in law: William Wilkerson Public viewing will be held from 1-8pm in the Roy Blackwell Chapel on Saturday, August 1, 2020. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 2nd at 2pm with the family arriving at 1:30pm. Burial will be held in the Veteran's Section of North Lawn Cemetery.
