David James Elliott
David James Elliott, 79, of Marysville, PA, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 at his home. David was born in Dubuque, Iowa on October 23, 1940, the son of the late Doris Ruth (Moser) Elliott and James P. Elliott, Jr. He was a retired insurance agent from Lititz Mutual Insurance Company with over 40 years of service. Prior to his career in the insurance industry, David was a graduate of San Francisco College of Mortuary Science and was a licensed funeral director in California. David was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Marysville Sportsmans Association. David enjoyed spending time with his wife Faith and their dog Annie. They loved the daily rides in the car together, they loved the outdoors, and he loved his kids and grandkids. Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Faith Ann (Erb) Elliott, a daughter, Lisa, wife of Michael Fisher, of Weaverville, NC, a son, Keith Elliott, his wife, Heather, of Buford, GA, two sisters, Beverly, wife of Robert Murray, of Omaha, NE; Jane, wife of Duane Hermsen, of Peosta, IA. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Amy, wife of Allen Stribling, Simpsonville, SC, Emily Johnson, Charleston, SC, Anna Elliott and Austin Elliott, of Buford, GA and three great grandchildren Stella Stribling, Maxwell Stribling and Hadley Stribling. Also ten nieces and nephews and nine great nieces and great nephews. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 1, 2020 in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Spruce Street, Marysville, PA. To conform with Covid 19 guidelines, mask are suggested and social distancing observed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marysville Church of God, 106 Maple Avenue, Marysville, PA 17053 or the American Heart Association, 425 Crum Mill Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112.
