In Loving Memory Georgia Mitsuko O'Mary Dec. 28, 1941 - July 12, 2020 After a six-year battle with aggressive breast cancer, Georgia Mitsuko (Saito) O'Mary passed away peacefully in her sleep July 12, 2020. Georgia was born in Portland, to Daizo and Fumi Saito Dec. 28, 1941. Shortly after her birth, she and her family were interned in the Minidoka War Relocation Center in Hunt, Idaho, where they lived for the duration of World War II. Once released from the camp, her family spent nine years in Burley, Idaho, before moving back to Portland. Georgia attended Arleta Grade School, Franklin High School, and Portland State University. She then moved to San Francisco for several years, and also lived in the Los Angeles area. In 1966, she married Jay O'Mary. She and Jay moved back to Portland in the late 60s. After Jay's death in 1992, Georgia started her own office furniture company. Georgia touched many lives with her generosity and compassion. She will be remembered for how well she loved and treated her many friends over the years. She was an avid cook and enjoyed entertaining people at her home in gourmet style. She also loved traveling abroad, cherishing most her trips to Ireland. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Oishi (Dale) of Happy Valley; her niece, Pamela Oishi (Norgenh Agustin) of Milwaukie; and her aunt, Mary Coe of Portland.
