Henry F. Keoughan, 88 Devoted husband, father and grandfather Henry F. Keoughan, 88, passed away on July 22, 2020, surrounded by his family, at Carmel Richmond Nursing Home. Born on Sept. 7, 1931, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, to Francis Koughan and Ella Koughan (nee Duffy) where he grew up with nine brothers and sisters. He loved to return to his beloved PEI to spend time with his large, growing family. Henry came to New York in the 1950s, where he ambitiously pursued a career in finance. He met his beautiful wife, Annette, at a St. Finbar's church dance. They were soon married and welcomed a daughter, AnneMarie and then another daughter, Kathleen. Henry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was especially proud of his granddaughter, Michelle and adored his best pal, his great-grandson, Patrick Henry. Henry could be found most days tending to his garden, especially caring for his roses. He had a passion for hockey and could be heard from his basement lounge chair coaching the New York Rangers. Henry was a devout Christian and would say the Rosary every day. He served as an usher at mass for many years. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. He will be remembered as a good neighbor and friend to many. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his daughters, AnneMarie and Kathleen; his granddaughter, Michelle; great-grandson, Patrick; his brother, Joseph and sister, Catherine and many nieces and nephews he loved dearly. His beloved wife, Annette, predeceased him in 2011. The family wishes to thank Carmel Richmond Nursing Home, especially the nursing assistants, nurses and doctors for their compassion and care over the years. There will be a mass and a celebration of Henry's life at a later date.
