In memory of
Kiyoe "Emi" Nacchia
Kiyoe 'Emi' Nacchia a loving and giving wife, mother and grandmother passed away following a long illness Sunday, July 19. Emi was born in Sendai, Japan November 21, 1931 and met her husband, Joseph, while working at the BX at Misawa Air Base. They married four years later November 20, 1959. Emi traveled the world as a proud military wife and held her American citizenship as an honor throughout her life. She and Joseph eventually settled in Fort Walton Beach in 1973 where they found their special home to raise their two sons. Emi was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joseph. She is survived by her sons, Joe, Jr. (Kim) and Nick (Audrey) and the 'Apple of Her Eye' her one and only grandchild, Alexandra 'Alex'. Emi was a brilliant artist and passionate about sharing her special gift of painting with her granddaughter, Alex. She also loved playing bingo, knitting, sewing and cooking fabulous meals for her family. Emi was a very rare person, truly self-less, living to put others before herself. Our family would like to thank all the wonderful people that cared for her and became her special friends over the last three years while at Brookdale Bluewater Bay and Superior Residences of Niceville. Emi truly loved and so appreciated all of you! We would also like to thank the staff at Twin Cities Hospital for their special efforts during her final days. Following a private family ceremony, Emi will rest in peace with the love of her life at Heritage Gardens Cemetery in Niceville.
