Hector Reyes, 70 Beloved brother, uncle, and godfather enjoyed playing sports Hector Reyes passed away at Staten Island University Hospital on July 10, 2020. Born in Kingsville, Texas, on April 25, 1950, he came to Staten Island when he was 17 to live with his sister, Rosie Pearce. Hector was an avid reader of the Staten Island Advance. He loved playing sports and was a member of the Staten Island touch tackle league. He retired from Resurrection Cemetery after 25 years. He leaves behind beloved brother, Nick; sisters, Rosie and Amparo; 45 nieces and nephews; and his goddaughter, Vanessa. He will be missed. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 31, at Resurrection Cemetery (Chapel 1), 391 Sharrott Ave., Staten Island.
