LINDA JEAN (ETZEL) JENNERJOHN August 14, 1958 ˜ July 8, 2020 Linda Jean (Etzel) Jennerjohn passed away July 8, 2020 at 61 years of age at her home in Vancouver, WA. Born on Aug. 14, 1958, Linda was adopted by her loving parents, Harley “Curly” and Betty Etzel of Vancouver, WA. She graduated from Fort Vancouver High School in 1976. In 1975, Linda began working at Southwest Washington Medical Center, later becoming PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. In 1981, she married her husband, Gary Lee Jennerjohn, and started a family. Linda was always present in her girl’s lives; becoming a Girl Scout and Day Camp leader, keeping score at softball games and always providing support and loving advice when needed. In 2003, Gary was diagnosed with cancer. Linda loved, cared for, and supported him until he passed in 2010. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters, taking them on many unforgettable adventures including trips to Disney parks and annual summer trips to the Pacific coast. Just as she did with her girls, she made sure to celebrate and make each milestone extra special for her granddaughters, including over the top birthdays and holidays. She would never miss a dance recital, school play or choir performance. After nearly 45 years of service at Southwest and PeaceHealth, she was looking forward to her retirement later this year. Her PeaceHealth friends would joke with her that she went from “the cradle to the payroll” and will always remember her for her dedication, warm smile and her love for her family. Linda leaves behind her mother, Betty Etzel; brother, David Etzel; daughters, Nicole Lewis and Stacie Jennerjohn; and four granddaughters who she loved dearly. She will always be remembered by her family for her kindness, patience, selfless generosity and endless love. She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Gary Jennerjohn; and her father, Curly Etzel. Her family asks you to hug your children and grandchildren, enjoy a walk on the beach with your family and never miss an opportunity to celebrate with the ones you love. It is in these moments that Linda will forever be missed. Her family will honor and celebrate her life privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stepping Stones to support grieving children at https://www.peacehealth.org/southwest/for-grieving-children .
