EVA MARIE AHLSON July 19, 1932 ˜ July 14, 2020 Eva Marie Ahlson passed away July 14, 2020 at her home in Vancouver, Washington. Eva was born July 19, 1932 in Froid, Montana to Arthur and Severine Coats. On December 10, 1950, Eva married Hubert (Huey) Ahlson who passed away on June 21, 2014. Huey and Eva had two daughters, Rhonda Scharf (Steven) of Port Townsend, Washington and Debra Andrews (Jeff) of Paradise Valley, Arizona. She also leaves behind two siblings, Joan Kuhns of Longview, Washington and David Coats of North Salt Lake, Utah. Two siblings, Arthur Coats and Vonda Dykstra, predeceased her. Eva was a faithful member of Brush Prairie Baptist Church in Vancouver for 35 years. There she attended Golden Heirs senior fellowship, volunteered for vacation bible school and in the church’s business office as well as at other special church events. Eva loved the outdoors. She and Huey enjoyed camping in their younger days, gardening, golfing, going for walks, and after retirement fishing at Lake Merwin. They both loved going to the Oregon coast. Feeding hummingbirds brought her great joy. Eva loved to bake cookies to share with friends. She also loved people and made new friends wherever life took her. Whether it was her neighbors in Salmon Creek or the friends and staff at Bonaventure of Vancouver, she delighted in welcoming visitors into her home. A memorial service has not yet been scheduled.
