Fred William "Freddie" Reiber
ELON- Mr. Fred "Freddie" William Reiber, 79, of Elon passed away at his residence on Thursday July 9, 2020 at 12:15 p.m. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Glenda Marley Reiber, who survives and the son of John William Reiber and Agnes Sykes Reiber, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in the Security Agency. Mr. Reiber was the retired owner of Burlington Printing Company. He was a member of Low's Lutheran Church and the Men's Breakfast Group of the church. He was presented a quilt by the N. C. Quilts of Valor. In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include a daughter, Lynne R. Steele of Graham; son, Michael C. Reiber of Wilmington; sister, Jane Reiber Brown and husband Jim of Virginia; and his nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Tony L. Steele. The funeral service will be conducted at Low's Lutheran Church on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. John Mark Beam, III. The family will be at the church beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Low's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Low's Lutheran Church, 2136 NC61, Liberty, NC 27298.
