VIOLET ALICE GIROSKY
(nee Belskis), 96, a resident of Parma Heights, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Holy Family Hospice in Parma. Alice was born in Cleveland and graduated from Jane Addams Vocational School in 1941. Throughout her life she worked as a private seamstress along with creating everything from christening gowns to wedding gowns for her family. After retiring as alterations manager at the former Parmatown Higbees, her time was spent lovingly caring for grandchildren, gardening, and always being ready to lend a helping hand. She created over 65 dresses for the Dress A Girl Around The World Missionary Program. Her family was the love of her life. She leaves behind her children, Joan (David) Patchin, Robert (Karen) Girosky, Marilyn (Douglas) Wrights, and Jan Riegelmayer; grandchildren Carrie (Robert) Lewis, Jason (Melissa) Karohl, Eric Wrights, Jennifer (David) Fisher, Lauren Wrights, Michelle (Joseph) Adamo, Janet Riegelmayer (Kevin Glinski) and Sarah Girosky (Nathan Witsaman); 8 great-grandchildren in addition to sister Marilyn Miller; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, May and Anthony Belskis; sister Ruth Huebner; and former husband John Girosky.
