In memory of
Lois G. Seiden
Lois G. Seiden Briarcliff Manor - Lois G. Seiden, a Realtor® extraordinaire, and a longtime resident of Briarcliff Manor, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 23, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Leo and Bee (Fagin) Gotteiner. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Philip E. Seiden, her son Jeffrey Seiden and her sisters, Eileen Boevers and Sarah (Sari) Nelson. Lois was a force of nature. Everyone knew that she was determined to accomplish whatever she set her mind on doing, and for that everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her, loved her. Her business acumen was off the charts as she operated Lois Seiden Real Estate for over 20 years. Her life was warm and rich, filled with both business and personal accomplishments. Lois' business was quite successful for many years, some of which included her son Mark, who eventually joined her in the business. They were a dynamic duo together. Lois was married to her high school sweetheart, Philip, for over 45 years. They lived and traveled all over the world. But ever since their first grandchild was born in 1993, that all stop and all they did was request time with their grandchildren, who they loved and adored. The grandchildren gave them a joy beyond belief. And having her son Mark go into real estate was a cherry on Lois' sundae! After Philip passed away in 2001, Lois moved to Boynton Beach, FL shortly thereafter and was thrilled when her grandson Ben was accepted to the University of Miami as she was able to see her grandson all the time. And then Lois' granddaughter was accepted at the same University too. That also meant many more visitations from her other grandchildren with Mark and Amy when everyone came to visit with Ben and Lindsay in Miami. Her family was her life blood. Despite suffering from Vascular Dementia for over 8 plus years, she continued to help Mark source new business through networking at The Atria in Ossining, her residence prior to The Club of Briarcliff Manor! She is survived by her son Mark, daughter-in-law Amy and grandchildren, Ben, Lindsay and Rachel. Funeral services were held at Sharon Gardens in Valhalla, NY on Friday July 3rd. Contributions in her memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
