Nancy Evelyn White, 85, of Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at home. She was born in Columbia, SC, daughter of the late Willie Mae Davis and Booker T. Washington. Nancy retired from the former Dauphin County Home and Hospital and in her leisure, she enjoyed cooking and hosting her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three of her children, Joann White Brown, Clara Johnson and Ivory White and leaves to celebrate her life, her sons, Joseph, Alfred and Charles White; her daughters, Bernice Smith, Sarah Rogers and Evelyn White; her sister, Bernice White; her brother, Michael Davis; her 28 grandchildren; 54 great grands; 30 great-great grands and a host of other relatives and friends. Nancy's life will be celebrated on Thursday, July 2 at Twelve Noon in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home with viewing 11:00 a.m. until Noon and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
