Carol was devoted to her church and school, St. John Vianney, serving as librarian and school nurse for several years. The kids and grandkids called her "The Solar Powered Grandma" because of the time she spent soaking up the sun while on vacation in Alabama, and they always looked forward to Christmas Eve at Grandma's. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 4 at 10 am at St. John Vianney with Fr. John Vallier officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday, July 3 from 5 -7 pm with a vigil service at 7:00 PM at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home 4031 Clyde Park Ave. SW.
