age 81 of Richfield, Ohio passed away June 25, 2020. He was born July 28, 1938 to the late Mary and Louis Fike, Beloved husband of the late Margaret J. "Peggy" (nee Petrenchik) Fike, dear father of Denise (Craig) Nemeth and step father to Douglas(Kathy) Myles and Sharon (Steve) Regan, loving PapPap to Kyle and wife Jo-Anna, Connor, Kaitlyn and Anna Regan, Margaret, Samuel, and Henry Myles, great grandfather to Oliver Regan, brother of Dick (Jeannie) Fike, Darlene (Larry) Gentile and Mary Rita Fike. Lou graduated from Bedford High School in 1956, enlisted to serve in the Air Force and returned to civilian life earning a degree from Fenn College of Engineering. Lou returned to Bedford Heights where he founded his business Bowen Machinery Products. His business success included development and production of parts for aircraft and military machinery. Lou was very civic minded and participated in the Bedford Chamber of Commerce as well as Rotary Club. He was chairman of the Bedford Sesquicentennial and the celebrated annual Bedford Rib Burn Off. The Bedford Theatre was also another platform where Lou graced the stage for many a performance. In 1987 Lou received the honorary citizen of the year award in recognition of outstanding and dedicated service to the community. In more recent years Lou enjoyed attending his Bedford High School class reunions and monthly luncheons. Lou will be remembered fondly by his family for his great sense of humor, entertaining stories and chef extraordinaire of holiday meals. Private family services to be held. In lieu of flowers the family wishes contributions in Lou's name be made to The Bedford Rotary Club, PO Box 46135, Bedford, Ohio 44146.
