Schuitema, Larry Eugene 11/29/1933 - 6/23/2020 Cedar Springs Larry Eugene Schuitema, age 86, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. He was born on November 29, 1933 in Howard City, Michigan to Doris and Louella (Snyder) Schuitema. After graduating high school, Larry proudly served in the US Air Force. He was married to Cosy Dixon in 1955 and they enjoyed nearly 65 years of marriage. Larry loved hunting, fishing, and golfing. He had a strong work ethic, and treated everyone he met and worked with fairly, honestly, and ethically. He was always willing to lend a hand to others. He was a Godly man and a beautiful example for others on how to truly love their wife. Larry is survived by his wife, Cosy; his son, Larry (Heidi) Schuitema; his daughter, Penny (Roger) Muma; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; his siblings, Robert (Jeanne) Schuitema, Dorothy Lanting and Bernard (Marie) Schuitema; and many nieces, nephews and friends. As Larry had wished, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Kent City Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with luncheon following. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Larry's memory may do so to Kent City Baptist Building Fund.
