RoseMarie E. (Balasko) Ancheff
RoseMarie E. Balasko Ancheff, of Bressler, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 10, 1931 to the late Frank and Barbara (Benkovic) Balasko. RoseMarie was the widow of Stephen M. Ancheff, Sr., who was the love of her life. Stephen and RoseMarie were married for 55 years before his passing in January 2009. RoseMarie graduated from Harrisburg Catholic High School in 1948 and was a former Commonwealth of Pennsylvania - Department of General Services employee, retiring after 33 years of service. She was a member of the Friendship Fire Company - Bressler, AARP and Golden Hearts. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, gardening, cooking and Pro Football being an avid Steelers fan and she loved her iPad. Rose is survived by her son, Stephen, Jr. and Life Partner, Karin Prado of Woodland, California; many nieces and nephews and her wonderful adoptive granddaughter, Stephanie Rose Carpenter Ruiz. She was honored to always have been part of the Spoljaric families, with whom she spent and enjoyed many celebrations, and considered them more than cousins. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 2:00 pm in Churchville Cemetery. There will be no viewing or visitation.
