Camilla Anne Sonefeld
Sonefeld, Camilla Anne 65, of Grand Rapids, Michigan was welcomed into the arms of Jesus, Monday, June 22nd 2020 after losing her courageous battle with depression. Camilla was born in Holland, Michigan June 17th, 1955 to Frank and Anne Walenga. She is preceded in death by her husband Marc Sonefeld. She is survived by daughters Hilary and Gayle Sonefeld, and sisters Mechele (Mike) Duba and Burnetta (Dan) Robinson. Camilla was very involved in the Church community. She was professed into the Our Mother of Sorrows Fraternity on October 30, 2002. Her ministries included praying, cooking and sharing meals with friends, sharing baked goods with others, and extra-ordinary minister of the Eucharist. She had a heart for serving her community in Christ. She will be remembered as an avid baker, loving mother and selfless giver. A Memorial Mass for Camilla will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2275 Diamond Ave NE Grand Rapids MI 49505, on Friday, July 3rd at 11am. The Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary will be prayed at 9:30am prior to visitation by family and friends and those who wish to join. Family will greet visitors an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to https://www.benice.org , a West Michigan mental health and suicide awareness organization.
