Redman, Shirley 10/4/1939 - 6/20/2020 Shirley Joan Redman, of Inkster, formerly of Ann Arbor, passed away June 20, 2020 at her home. She was 80 years old. Born October 4, 1939 in North Buxton, Ontario, Canada she was the daughter of Joseph and Hazel (Freeman) Thomas. She moved to Ann Arbor in the 1960's where she and her husband married and started a family. She enjoyed music and dancing, she was a wonderful cook and was known for her eye for fashion. Shirley was a member of the St. Clements Episcopal Church. She is survived by two daughters, Elmina Redman and Pamela Smith and her husband Broderick; five grandchildren, Andrea Smith and her husband John Jr., Charmaine Redman, Kenneth Redman-Chancellor, Broderick Smith Jr. and Walter Smith; three great grandchildren Claire, Lauren and John Corey; and one sister Jodean Thomas and a host of extended family and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter E. Redman, one daughter Virgilene Redman and one sister Josephine Thomas. Private funeral services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 1:00pm at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. 4th Ave, Ann Arbor, MI. Public will be able to Live Stream the service from home or their vehicles through the www.muehligannarbor.com . Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm at the funeral home as well as on Friday from 12:00 pm until time of the service. www.muehligannarbor.com
