In memory of
Angelina Cortese
Angelina Cortese, 36, flew with angel’s wings too soon to heaven above on June 11, 2020. She was born in Springfield on April 8, 1984. From when Angelina was a child, her family saw her loving heart, full of compassion and caring for other people. She grew up in Agawam with her brother Tommy and lots of family. In High School she was an exceptional athlete with a driven focus playing soccer. Angelina loved her family. She looked forward to spending time with her parents, cousins, aunts and uncles at Sunday meals, celebrating birthday parties and going out to dinner. She loved the freedom of the outdoors, whether it was skiing the slopes of Vermont at Mt. Snow, or relaxing at the beach in Scarborough, there Angelina was at peace. There is too much to say about the beautiful and talented woman Angelina was, and her family is heartbroken to say goodbye. She leaves her mother Brenda (Siano) Cortese of Springfield, her father Dominick Cortese and his wife Kathy of Agawam and her paternal grandmother Dora (Depergola) Cortese, her beloved nephew Dominick Cortese, her aunts and uncles Anthony Cortese and his wife Kathy, Maria Kajka and her husband John, so many more loving aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. She leaves us to join her family in heaven, her brother Thomas Cortese, her paternal grandfather Tommaso Cortese, and her maternal grandparents William and Linda (Aversa) Siano. Private services were entrusted to Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home. Memorial contributions made in Angelina’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005. To leave a message of personal condolence, visit www.forastiere.com .
