Casey Robert Skopil
Casey Robert Skopil August 7, 1957 - June 16, 2020 Casey Robert Skopil, age 62, passed away at home Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Casey was born August 7, 1957 in Salem, Ore., to Otto Richard and Janet Rae Skopil. He graduated from Lake Oswego High School and attended the University of Oregon. He was an avid sports enthusiast and a life-long fan of the Oregon Ducks. He enjoyed golf and was fortunate to play on some of the best courses in the United States. His competitive spirit and dedication to the sport at an early age afforded him the opportunity to represent his beloved State of Oregon in a national junior golf tournament. Casey was an easy-going, generous, fun-loving individual. He had a love of life, was open for adventure, and cherished his time with family and friends. When you were with Casey, you knew you were in for a good time. He allowed you to feel free to be yourself, knowing he accepted you for who you were, wished you only the best, and would do whatever he could to make that happen. His beaming smile, quick wit, intelligence, and natural warmth contributed to his long and successful career in the consumer electronics industry. He is survived by his wife, Wendy, who was his biggest fan. Even though they worked in the same industry and, at times, for the same company, she willingly took a back seat to him, applauding his successes. She lovingly and unconditionally supported him to the end. Casey also leaves behind his mother; brother, Otto Richard Skopil, III (Pam); sisters, Shannon Ida Bronson (Barry) and Mollie Jo Skopil; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. This gentle, loving, caring, and wonderful man left a permanent mark etched in our hearts and will be extremely missed. Please sign the online guest book at www.oregonlive.com/obits
