Eleanor Riccio, 76 Loved holiday entertaining and cruises with close friends Eleanor Riccio, 76, of Rossville passed away on June 19, 2020, at Hackensack University Medical Center. Eleanor was born on July 29, 1943 in Brooklyn to Eleanor (Fusco) and Dominick Faillace. She attended Fort Hamilton High School. In 1964 on a blind date she met her soulmate and love of her life, Anthony Riccio. They were married Feb. 5, 1966, in Regina Paces Church. They moved to Staten Island to raise their two sons. Eleanor was vibrant, fun loving and there was no limit to what she would do for her family. Her favorite times were entertaining on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and Father's Day making them unforgettable events, overnights in Atlantic City, Aruba vacations and cruises with close friends. She is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony Riccio, her son, Anthony, daughter-in-laws, Arlene and Angela, granddaughters, Alyssa, Skylar, Amanda, Taylor, her sisters, Rosemary (Michael) Spano, Pamela DiMartino, Donna (John) Lucchese, many nieces, nephews, grandnephews and grandnieces. Her dear son Craig passed away on July 10, 2016. Many broken hearts are left with Eleanor's passing and she will be sorely missed. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, 28 Eltingville Blvd., Staten Island, N.Y. 10312. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St Thomas Church. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
