Benido Batiancela, 88 Master electrician, enjoyed weekends in Atlantic City Ben was born in 1932 in Stapleton Staten Island. He then graduated from McKee high school in 1950. After that he then joined the United States Navy where he became an electrician's mate first class. Ben went on to Staten Island Community College for an associates degree in electrical engineering. He became a master electrician and started B&B electric as a licensed contractor. He was the sole proprietor. He worked until he was 79 years-old, making many great friends and relationships along the way. He enjoyed his weekends in Atlantic City, N.J., and was an avid classic movie fan. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Susan; his two daughters, Linda and Maryann; and his brother, Anthony, along with many loving nieces and nephews. Viewing is at Matthew Funeral Home, Tuesday, June 16, 12 noon to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Carmelite Sisters at the Carmel Nursing Home.
