Robert 'Bobby' Roy Cunningham, 73 U.S. Army veteran, retired MTA bus operator Robert "Bobby" Roy Cunningham, 73, of Colonia, N.J., died on Monday, June 8, 2020, at Newark University Hospital. Born in Uniontown, Pa., son of Robert, a career Army veteran and Marguerite, the family moved across several states during his youth. Bobby was a veteran of the United States Army. Bobby settled in Staten Island. Prior to retirement he was a bus operator for the Manhattan Transit Authority for more than 30 years. His passions included a love for animals, motorcycles, and classic cars. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria, and is survived by his daughter, Stacey of Jupiter, Fla.; grandon, Louis; granddaughters, Brittany and Alyssa, and great-grandson, Maverick, two sisters, Sherry and Pat; three brothers, Mike, Scott, and Kenny, countless nieces and nephews, and respected neighbors. Memorial donations can be made to Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, Jupiter, Fla., or Furry Friends Animal Adoption and Rescue, Jupiter, Fla. Robert and his wife, Maria, will come to rest at Riverside Memorial Park in Jupiter, Fla.
