Beverly Jeanne (Pregent) Carey
Beverly Jeanne (Pregent) Carey Beverly Jeanne (Pregent) Carey passed away on June 2nd at the age of 90 with her family at her side. Born in Seattle on Sept 7, 1929 to Clarence [Joe] and Frances Pregent, Beverly grew up in Montlake, attended Holy Names Academy and graduated from Garfield High School. She married Tom Carey in 1951 whom she met while at the University of Washington. Bev loved her family get-together dinners, travels around the globe and especially enjoyed playing golf and cards with her friends. She will be remembered as the luckiest person we've known, always winning every raffle and prize when her name was in the hat. Her optimistic outlook was an inspiration to all, including a positive attitude in the face of a difficult illness. We will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her brother Robert Pregent. Her survivors include her husband of 68 years Dr. Thomas F. Carey, five adult children Tom [Kate] of Des Moines, IA, and Seattle residents Candace [Greg] Parker, Kevin [Julie], Tim and Brian [Vicki]. She cherished her twelve grandchildren Christy, Brendan [Megan], Ramsey, Max, Colin, Jake, Carey, Barbara Ann, Thomas, Joseph, Marion and Timothy. Our family is grateful for the excellent and loving care Bev received from Lorena Ramírez Dake and all her family while living in Rancho Mirage, CA. Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation or the Woodland Park Zoo.
