Lee Appel APPEL, Lee passed away on June 9,2020 at the age of 90. Beloved mother of Roni Siegel and her husband Leonard, and of Marjory Appel and her husband Jeffrey Dunetz. Loving sister of David Landau and his late wife Flois, and of Mina Hyman and her late husband Herb. Devoted grandmother to Rebecca Siegel, and Julia, Caroline and Emily Dunetz. Cherished life-partner of the late Richard Victor, caring ex-wife of the late Sheldon Appel. Lee was deeply involved in Palm Springs life for over 40 years, having served as President of the Palm Springs Art Museum's Board of Trustees and actively supporting numerous causes. In 2006, Palm Springs Life Magazine named Lee one of "The Incredibles", one of the 20 most dynamic women in the Coachella Valley. She was an avid tennis player and enjoyed the many cultural offerings the desert area provided. An eternally loyal and loving friend, Lee will be missed by her vast circle of friends and family. She was laid to rest at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City, CA on Jun 12, 2020. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
