Robert R. Frankenfield PHILLIPSBURG, NJ Robert R. Frankenfield, 81, of Phillipsburg passed away peacefully Friday, May 29, 2020. Born November 2, 1938 in Phillipsburg, he was the son of the late Warren and Elsie (Morrow) Frankenfield. He attended Phillipsburg High School and served honorably for 13 years in the US Army, including a tour in Vietnam. Bob was known to have a joke ready at a minute's notice. He loved traveling, new adventures and the casinos. He was courageous in his battle with COPD and lung cancer. He worked at various textile mills and was the chief operating engineer in the boiler room at Warren Hospital for many years, before retirement. He is survived by his companion, Linda Kovalsky; and her daughters Jill, Halley (Mark) and son John (Krista); their children Cole, Drew, Johnny and Mara, who loved him and recognized him as their grandfather; and a brother, Warren (wife, Nola). He was predeceased by two brothers, Sam and Richard. At Bob's request there will be no services. Arrangements are being handled by Doyle-Devlin Funeral Home, Inc.
