Beatrice "Bea" Florence Westberry Braddock, 83, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, surrounded by her family. Bea was born February 15, 1937 in Metter, GA to Harvey and Ruby Cox Westberry. In 1956, she married Thomas Wiley Braddock in Lyons, GA. They later moved to Birmingham, AL where Bea dedicated her life to raising their five children. She was a long time member of Vinesville Baptist Church and later attended Gardendale First Baptist Church. Bea is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas Wiley Braddock; loving children, Ann Russell of Gardendale, AL, Rick (Lisa) Braddock of Helena, AL, Gail Ginn of Gardendale, AL, Donna (Gregg) Gray of Calera, AL, Connie (Greg) White of Fultondale, AL; grandchildren, Brandon (Shelby) Russell, Ashley (Brett) Burkholder, Kaela Braddock, Greg Ginn, Skyler (Laura) Braddock, Lauren (Justin) Wiley, Ethan Gray, Mallorie Reid, Meghan Gray, Matthew White, and Nicholas White; great-grand children, Brayden Russell and Graham Braddock; brother William "Buddy" (Martha) Westberry of Lenoir City, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and five brothers. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for their loving and attentive caregivers, with a special thanks to Velvet Tate, who was with us from beginning to end of hospice care. The family will hold a private memorial service to honor and remember their beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
