Robin Jane Decker, 67 Longtime TWA flight attendant ; served on crew of Papal charter Robin Jane Decker, 67, of Eltingville, passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on Sunday, May 17, 2020. Born in New York City on Jan. 6, 1953, Robin was the beloved daughter to parents, Miriam, and the late Joseph Decker. Robin was a graduate of St. Joseph by the Sea High School and later received her degree from City University. She was employed by Transworld Airlines as a flight attendant. She had a passion for her work and was held in high regard. During her career Robin traveled to a wide variety of destinations here in the U.S. and abroad. She held positions at the training facility and would conduct orientation for newly hired candidates at the facility in Overland Park, Kan. She was selected as one of the crew for the Papal charter of John Paul II during his tour of the U.S. Her career continued with the company after the merging of operations with American Airlines. She was active with the company until her illness. She was devoted to the care of her mother, Miriam Decker and very caring to her family members. Robin is survived by Miriam Decker and her brothers, Kevin and Donald Decker. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Decker and brother, Brian J. Decker. A memorial service will be held later to celebrate her life. She will be interred in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y.
