In memory of
James Larkin
James Larkin Plymouth - James Larkin, 80, of Plymouth, MI died May 18 in his home surrounded by his wife and children following complications from cancer treatment. Having worked as a Steamfitter for 60 years, James was proud to have once served as President of Pipefitters Local 636 as well as having served his local in other capacities. As a fixture in Wayne County Politics, Mr. Larkin participated at the grassroots level as an active member (and sometimes officer) of many local Democratic Organizations, and eventually as an elected member of the Garden City Board of Education. James was predeceased by his parents Hugh & Elizabeth, his brothers John and Henry and his son Arthur. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol Larkin; his children: Hugh Larkin (Denise), Andrea Larkin (Chris) Rockstad, Marianne Larkin (Mark) Rachfal, James Larkin (Holly), Jennifer Larkin, Jessica Larkin (Michael) Mistak; his grandchildren: Barbara, Elizabeth and T.J. Larkin (Shelby), Nicholas & Diana Rockstad, Brendan Rachfal, Mason and Morgan Larkin, John and Patrick Mistak; his brother Hugh Larkin and numerous nieces and nephews. No memorial will be held due to pandemic restrictions. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: https://tinyurl.com/JamesLarkinStJude . Understanding that in these uncertain times where money might be tight, James would be similarly honored by your support of organized labor/unions by voting in this November's election.
