In memory of
Francis Kuhn
Kuhn, Francis 5/18/2020 Grand Rapids Francis L. Kuhn "Fritz" age 95, went home to his Lord on Monday, May 18, 2020. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rita and twin grandsons, Jason and Bradley Kuhn. Fritz gave the best advice-always showing others to never sweat the small stuff. He lived his life with the motto to always be fair, do the right thing, and bank the memories of good times. His passion for life reigned true in everything he did. Fritz was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, and graduated from Catholic Central Class of 1943. He retired from General Electric Supply after 43 years. Fritz was an Army Veteran of World War II and held an unwavering love for the country that he defended. Fritz will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on through the many people who knew, loved and respected him. He was a devoted and proud father to Kathleen and Tim Gietzen, Jim Kuhn, Jane and Bruce Roark, Joe and Mari Kuhn, Kevin and Linda Kuhn, and Mary Lynne Kuhn. Fritz was also a proud, dedicated, and loving grandfather and great grandfather to Matt and Heather Gietzen and their children Sophie and Colin; Melissa (Gietzen) and Marcel Tranchet and their children Henry and Ellie Marie; Molly (Kuhn) and Curt Kerkstra and their children Carson and Madelyn; Tom and Jaime Weibel and their children Tommy, Olivia, Travis and Madelyn; John and Molly Roark and their children Christian and JJ; Sara Roark and her children Brecken and Mia; Christina (Kuhn) and Roman Tapia; Andrew Kuhn; Charlie Kuhn; David Kuhn; Kyle Kuhn; and Ava Kuhn. He had many nieces, nephews, and special friends as well. We want to extend our sincere appreciation to the staff of Clark at Keller Lake for the compassionate care they provided, and to Dr. Jim Passinault, with whom Fritz truly had a special relationship. We will always remember, and so greatly appreciate, Dr. Jim's numerous acts of kindness, empathy, and calmness, as he managed Fritz's care for many years. Based on current mandated restrictions, the family has had a private graveside service. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice of Michigan, 989 Spaulding Avenue SE, Ada MI 49301; or to the Clark Foundation-COVID-19 Care Fund, 1551 Franklin St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506-8203.
