George E. Gleason
George E. Gleason Bloomfield - George E. Gleason, age 79, passed away peacefully, on Monday, May 18, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Gleason; three children, Wendy Whiffen, Pete Gleason (Carla Hoad) and Paul (Kristi) Gleason; daughter-in-law, Lisa Knorr; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 11 siblings; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Webb; and a brother. George was a US Navy veteran and US Marine Corps veteran, who served in Vietnam. He retired from Bloomfield Central School after many years there. George was a life member of the East Bloomfield-Holcomb Fire Department and a member of the Bloomfield American Legion, Savage Post 970. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time to be announced. Interment with military honors will be in Bath National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 1344 University Ave., Suite 270, Rochester, NY 14607.
