Emma I. Sandt EASTON Emma I. Sandt, 86, of Easton, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020 in New Eastwood. Born July 23, 1933, in Easton, PA, she was a daughter of Beatrice Kilpatrick. Her husband of 60 years, Donald H. Sandt, Sr., passed away March 3, 2012. Emma graduated from Easton High School Class of 1951. She retired as the office manager of Mearhoff Insurance Agency in 1995. Family and friends far and near will remember Emma for her "Cakes for All Occasions." Sweet treats, like cakes, cookies, and sticky buns have been served at birthday parties, weddings, and holiday events for many locals! In addition to baking, she enjoyed roller skating at Bushkill Park in her younger years with Donald. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Easton. Surviving are a son, Donald H. Sandt, Jr. and his wife, Becky, of Apache Junction, AZ; a daughter, Gloria J. Rubis, of Laingsburg, MI; two grandchildren, Dr. Michael Callan and his companion, Melissa Zielinski, and Alexis Long and her husband, Mike, and four great-grandchildren, Aidan, Neala and Brenna Callan and Allison Long. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, private graveside services will be held in South Easton Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough.
