Marguerite Metcalf (Goetz) Oct. 5, 1922 - May 17, 2020 Marguerite Bonney Goetz was born Oct. 5, 1922 in Canton, Mo., and died in Portland May 17, 2020. She graduated from Canton High School and received a B.A. Degree from Culver-Stockton College. In 1942 she married Roy L. Metcalf. She moved to Portland with her family in 1963 and served on the Administrative Staff of First Christian Church for 23 years. She was a member of the League of Women Voters and an honorary member of the American Association of University Women. She was a resident at Terwilliger Plaza since 1997, where she served as co-chairman of the Thrift and Gift shop for many years. In 2005 she was awarded the Franklin White Service Award and in 2009 the Spirit of Giving Award from the Terwilliger Plaza Foundation. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Roy L. Metcalf. She is survived by her sons, Harold and Dennis Metcalf, Dennis' partner Kathleen Martin; and grandsons, Andy and Danny Metcalf. Remembrances to First Christian Church, 1314 S.W.
