In memory of
Sharon Hoban
Hoban, Sharon 12/5/1942 - 5/7/2020 Ann Arbor, MI Sharon Ann Hoban, 77 passed away at her home in Ann Arbor on May 7th after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 5, 1942 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The daughter and only child of A. Dennis and Lois (Hynes) Hoban, Sharon graduated from Whitmore Lake High School in 1961 and began a career in banking. She followed her dream and moved to San Francisco in 1972, where she then left her heart and many friends. Her second career was as an office manager for a group of doctors. She retired in 1998 and moved back to Ann Arbor to be with family. Sharon loved people (and her Shih Tzu Charlie was her "favorite people") and made everyone her friend. She had a wonderful sense of humor and laughed often and heartily - her smile would light up a room. Sharon will be missed by her Cousin Kathy (Hynes) Mihalik, her "Sissys" Linda Raffin Hensel (Sissy#2) and Norina Raffin Kemper (Sissy#3) and many cousins and friends who will miss her and celebrate her life everyday. Cremation has taken place. She will be buried in her family's plot at Old St. Patrick's Cemetery. Thank you to Arbor Hospice and Angels in Scrubs, her caregivers. Those who desire may make a memorial donation in Sharon's name to Arbor Hospice ( http://arborhospice.org ) or The American Cancer Society ( https://cancer.org ). Uncertain times make it difficult to plan a memorial for Sharon, but we hope to at a future date. We will keep you in our plans as they progress. To be notified, please share your contact information here: https://forms.gle/i2JQSCjp2RyNiyXy7 . Spend time with your friends, take a walk with your "Charlie," and find something to laugh about everyday - that's what Sharon (Sissy#1) would wish for you.
